Animal Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit adoption center and animal shelter in Labelle, Florida, dedicated to providing a safe, friendly no-kill environment for cats and dogs in Hendry and Glades counties.
Animal Rescue, Inc. is operated by your tax-deductible donations. We receive no government funding and our only source of funds comes comes from personal, business, and community donations and support.
We are open from Monday to Saturday and welcome you to visit our facilities, or consider becoming a Foster Parent to any of our pets in need of foster home care.
About us
In 1992 Animal Rescue, Inc. was founded by a loving community member, Diane Sheppard and her family. With little or no animal control in either Hendry or Glades counties, the animal population was close to the people population, and rising.
The shelter can now house up to 100 dogs and 50 cats. Over 3,000 animals have been through our doors and have been placed into loving homes.
TOGETHER WE CAN HELP THOSE THAT CANNOT HELP THEMSELVES!
How you can help
If you are in the area, we would love a visit. We are always in need of cleaning products such as Lysol, Fabuloso, liquid detergent, bleach, paper towels, also canned dog and cat food. Or call ahead if you have medicines or big items such as washing machines, wheelbarrows, etc...
We can also use flea meds and blankets. The blankets are a real need, they get old and torn are a big comfort to many of our dogs.
You can also become a member of Animal Rescue, Inc. Membership levels are available with your annual donation of $25.00 for Single Membership, $35.00 for Family Membership, $50.00 for Business Membership and $100.00 for Patron Membership.
